He's finally Here!!!

Carson's birthday was Thursday March 1st, 2007 at 3:32 PM. He weighed in at 7lbs 3 oz and 20 1/2 inches long...and he looks JUST like daddy!!!

It all started when Mommy's water broke around 12:30 AM Thursday morning. Mom and dad got to the hospital around 2:15 AM. Around 5:30, mom was given some Pitocin to help make the contractions more regular...and STRONGER - OUCH. By 10:30 AM, mom got her epidural and then she couldn't feel the painful contractions anymore. Throughout the day, Carson's heart rate dropped a couple of times. But sometime after 3:00 PM, his heart rate dropped again and nurses came hustling in...scaring the soon to be parents. After mom was assessed once more, it was discovered that Carson was in a transverse position (he was trying to come out cheek and ear first!!!). So, mom was hurried away to have an emergency C-section. Everything went fine and baby entered into this world will a loud cry...it was the most beautiful sound mom and dad had ever heard.
